Kids Trip to Utah

I have an amazing friend, Beth Baker, that got us tickets to SLC! Mom made the journey with us. I was so excited that the kiddos could see what we were talking about when we said we were moving to Park City. It is an amazing place and we feel very fortunate that we get to call this beautiful place home for a few years. The kids were not happy that we had to go back to Louisiana. Which is a good thing for me! This is the beginning of our wonderful journey and I am so excited that I could share this with everyone.

First Trip to Utah

Here We Go…

7-Eleven sent us on a “Look & See” trip to Salt Lake City (commonly referred to as SLC) in late July… It was a hard trip. We were still reeling from the news and had to wrap our heads around the move. But what we saw was breathtaking and helped tremendously with the decision. After looking around I think we are pretty well set on the idea of living in Park City (commonly referred to as PC). It is amazing and seems to be very family oriented.

Andrew and I on top of one of the highest points in PC (over 10,000 ft elevation)

This is where we get to call home!

Dont let this fool you… It stinks!

Our BIG News

Andrew worked with Lowe’s Home Centers for 15 years… And after some crazy news we found out he had been let go. Even though you can tell yourself you could be prepared, there is no way to do that. After 6 months of grinding it out Andrew accepted an offer from 7-Eleven being a Market Manager. We were expecting a move somewhere in Texas…

In July we were celebrating our 5 Year Anniversary at Gaylord Texan, and was told that we would be moving

to Salt Lake City, Utah! NOT PREPARED!!! It was a tough couple of days, but we finally came to the conclusion that this would benefit our family.

My first reaction was that we live in Louisiana where we are practically 0 ft elevation, we don’t wear coats, and shorts and a t-shirt will get you through “winter”… Now we are making a 180 degree turn! And all I could think of is my embarrassment when this Southern Belle went in to ask for a coat!! HAHA

Little did I know I was in for much, much more!
